Nursing Assistant
School
Training locals for medical careers.
The Sonia Jimenez, R.N. Nursing Assistant School is a certified program that trains local community members for careers in healthcare. Graduates go on to work in clinics and hospitals across Guatemala.
As part of their curriculum, each student completes a rotation in our Child Nutrition Center, providing compassionate care and support to chronically malnourished infants—our hospital’s youngest and most vulnerable patients.

Sewing School
Income-generating & sustainable skills for girls.
The Sewing School, founded by Canadian lay-missionary Jeanine Archimbaud in the early 1970s, teaches women and girls foundational sewing skills. This enduring program equips them with a sustainable craft to generate household income, transforming threads and fabric into a practical path toward economic independence, dignity, and self-sufficiency for themselves and their families.
