Across the world we are all facing a new reality with COVID-19, which has affected millions of people. In many developing nations, such as Guatemala, COVID has delivered a significant blow to already fragile health and economic systems.

As we have learned to navigate the pandemic, HdlFF began sending small medical teams to Nuevo Progreso in July, 2021. While variants of the virus have created some temporary roadblocks, we continue to support our Guatemalan partners at the Hospital de la Familia and are adhering to strict COVID protocol to protect patients, hospital staff, and our volunteers.
